Mic'd Music is a locally owned and operated music store Based in Texarkana Tx. We provide music related services in a wide variety of areas. Our heart is to see this community grow both Musically and spiritually. We believe that music is one of the best ways to reach someone and speak to them. Everyone loves and listens to some kind of music. We want to create a space for all types of music to flourish and grow and support local gatherings, musicians, and venues.
So what do we offer? Well it's a pretty extensive list, but i'll break it down for you. Mic'd Music focuses on buying/Selling/Trading used and new instruments. We have a selection of both and continually try to keep some new and some used in stock. We know we can't cater to everyone, but we hope that we can have something of interested for all. Instruments that we sell include Guitars, Electric and Acoustic, Basses, Mandolins, Violins/Fidels, Ukuleles, Keyboards, and Drums. Though that is all we carry in our store there is much more we can order online. If you know what you are looking for, don't hesitate to contact us!
As with all instruments you need accessories! Our accessories include strings, straps, pedals, amps, picks, capos, cymbals, slides, and more. We have brands from Ernie Ball and D'Addario to Martin and Elixir. Our amps are both used and new and at different times can include brands such as Fender, Marshall, Ibanez, Ampeg, Washburn, Orange, and Line 6.
Teaching what we have learned is a high priority for us and our staff at Mic'd Music. Whether that is teaching someone how to use a soundboard, or install a speaker, or teaching instrument lessons. We are continually learning and growing and want to bring people with us on that journey. For music lessons, we offer guitar, bass, mandolins, ukuleles, and Voice. We currently have two fantastic teachers, Smitty (Glenn Smith) is our main teacher and has been teaching for over 20 years, as a bass player for multiple bands and a teaching style that adapts to the student, he is a great teacher and his knowledge on music and instruments will astound you. Our voice teacher has a degree in voice and a passion to see people gain confidence in themselves. She is gentle and sweet and will take the time that you need to make sure you are growing through the process, her name is Courtney Collins and we are blessed to have her on our team.
We also offer Repairs. Ricky Kight is our main sales man, but he also specializes in setups, restrings, truss rod adjustments and cleaning. Need a basic set up or some new strings, he is your man! Maybe you need a new bridge, or have a cracked saddle, or maybe you need a fret job, we have you covered there too. Mark Braley is our head Repair tech and loves working and building guitars. Stop in one day to check out one of his Kinghat guitars and drop your guitar off for him to look at, the man can fix almost anything and loves vintage, so bring you in your worst or best and ask for Mark!
We also sell pro-sound and recording gear. That means we carry things like, speakers and monitors, mics, wireless and wired, interface, cables, headphones, pedals, and lighting. We have several suppliers in the local area and can get most things pretty fast. We carry major name brands such as Shure, Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Chauvet, Presonus, Electro-voice, Soundcraft, JBL, Klipsch, Yamaha, Blizzard, and more. If we don't have it we can probably get it for you and within 24 hours. We are happy to get anything you may want or need.
The last but not the least is rentals and installs. We have a large selection of rental gear ranging from one speaker and a mic, all the way up to a full PA system. Our rental list includes, EV 12in Speakers for small venues, JBL and Clair Brothers speakers for venues up to 500-1000 people, and festivals and events sound using L'acoustic line array system, Color wash lighting and Staging. We also offer a small selection of Chairs, pipe and drape, tents, and trussing. We not only rent, but also do contract shows. So if you have a rental need, reach out to us and we will see if we can get you taken care of. We also offer installs, ranging from small coffee shop installs to churches and large venues. We will find the right equipment at the right price for your business, school, church, or venue.
